Milan are in a hurry and reportedly want a reply from Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud, Roma striker Edin Dzeko could be an alternative for the Rossoneri.

Tuttosport reports the Diavolo wants to close the deal with the France international within a few days.

The newspaper reveals the club was in touch with Giroud’s representatives yesterday and have put a two-year deal worth €4m on the table, with the possibility of including a renewal option for a third year.

Once the terms of agreement have been established, the attacker’s agents must go to Chelsea to have his contract with the Blues terminated.

Milan are therefore looking to accelerate the operation, but are lining up alternatives just in case.

Tuttosport reports Bosnia international Dzeko would be an alternative for the Rossoneri, but the Giallorossi striker would cost more.

Dzeko, who scored 13 goals in 38 competitive games in 2020-21, has a higher salary demand than Giroud.
