The Giallorossi travel to the San Siro on Sunday and these Milan vs. Roma predictions suggest that it will be the current champions that will finish on top. It could be a close game though – and a good test of Roma’s ability to challenge for a top four spot.

Milan vs. Roma odds

1 – Milan to win – 17/20

2 – Under 2.5 goals scored – 10/11

3 – Both teams not to score – 19/20

4 – 2-0 at full time  – 8/1

5 – Rafael Leão to score at any time – 9/4

Milan welcome Roma to the San Siro on Sunday evening, looking to continue the form that has seen them keep in touch with Napoli at the top and have their fans dreaming of back-to-back scudetti for the first time since 1994.

The Rossoneri survived a late scare against Salernitana on Wednesday to pick up the first three points of 2023, with Rafael Leão opening the scoring. The Portugal international has been heavily linked with a move away in the transfer window but looked dangerous and could well find the net again on Sunday against Roma.

Although Roma’s defence is tight as you would expect under the stewardship of Jose Mourinho, Milan have managed almost two goals a game this season and might be able to achieve just that in this fixture.

Roma had to make do with a penalty from Lorenzo Pellegrini early on against Bologna to take all three points from their return game after the World Cup break. Possible injuries to both Nicolò Zaniolo and Paulo Dybala will have darkened Mourinho’s mood further and he will surely plan a defensive game this weekend.

The Giallorossi has been unable to break into the top four this season, as the other Serie A superpowers continue to claim top spots. It is difficult to see them overcoming Milan at the San Siro and changing that on Sunday.

Milan team news

Although Stefano Pioli has an ever-growing injury list, he should be able to field the same starting eleven that faced Salernitana here again on Sunday. His deputies have stood up well to their tasks and he will be confident in his squad to come through this one with another three points earned.

Roma team news

Jose Mourinho could face a much deeper problem if his injury problems do not clear up in the next few days. Although it seemed as though both Zaniolo and Dybala were just suffering from cramp in the game against Bologna, it might mean that Tammy Abraham returns to the starting XI as a lone striker to finish off any counter attacking moves.
