Milan:
G Donnarumma 6 – A couple of great saves to deny Inter’s strikers, but could do nothing about Lautaro and Lukaku’s goals.
Calabria 5.5 – Struggled to cope with Perisic’s pace.
Kjaer 4.5 – Picked up a yellow card early in the first half. Completely outplayed by Inter’s strikers.
Romagnoli 4.5 – Often caught out of position. Lukaku swept him away to score Inter’s third goal.
Theo Hernandez 5.5 – Not the usual Theo even if he bravely pushed up trying to get Milan back in the game. Came close to scoring the equaliser in the first half.
Tonali 4.5 – His only highlight was a shot from the edge of the box brilliantly saved by Handanovic. (Meite 67 N/A)
Kessie 5 – Suffered from the pressing of Inter’s midfield, his physical strength was not a factor this time around.
Saelemaekers 4 – Did too little to create trouble for Inter, was often too busy trying to control Perisic (Leao 67 N/A)
Calhanoglu 5 – Should have tried to shoot rather than pass the ball in the first half. Was often anticipated by Inter defenders.
Rebic 5 – Joined the club of those denied by Handanovic, but even if he had scored in the second half it would have been too late for Milan to turn the derby around.
Ibrahimovic 5 – He add all the eyes on him. He had a quite good chance in the second half, but Handanovic was brilliant. Nothing more than that. Pretty disappointing. (Castillejo 67 N/A)
Inter:
Handanovic 7.5 – Three crucial saves at the beginning of the second half, some Inter fans will need to apologise for criticising him
Skriniar 7 – Dominant and always in the right place at the right time.
De Vrij 7.5 – Almost perfect, Inter conceded very little.
Bastoni 6.5 – Only one little mistake when he was setting up an attack from the back.
Hakimi 7 – Picked up a yellow card in the first half, but it made no difference for him. Attacked down the flanks with some incredible consistency and quality.
Barella 7 – Quality and quantity for the former Cagliari man. The injury does not seem serious. He dedicated Inter’s win to Andrea Cossu who was involved in a car accident yesterday.
Brozovic 7.5 – Not just a regista. He did it all in the middle of the park. Complete and crucial for Inter’s victory.
Eriksen 7 – He never wasted possession and set up Perisic who assisted Lautaro for Inter’s second goal.
Perisic 8 – He is getting used to his new role in Inter’s five-man midfield. He was often dangerous and assisted Lautaro in the second half.
Lautaro 8.5 – Martinez Two goals and the usual lethal strike partnership with Lukaku
Lukaku 8 – Became the first player to score in four consecutive Milan derbies since Benito Lorenzi. Provided the assist for Lautaro’s opener and scored a stunning solo goal. Impressive.
