Milan vs. Bologna predictions will surely concentrate on tipping the Rossoneri to kickstart their campaign – but both sides ended up drawing 1-1 at the weekend. That was Bologna’s first point of the season and getting anything from a trip to the San Sir will be tough.

Milan vs. Bologna odds

1 – Under 2.5 total goals scored – 11/8

2 – Milan over 1.5 total goals – 5/4

3 – Milan to win 2-0 – 6/1

4 – Both teams to score – 11/10

5 – Rafael Leão to score at anytime – 7/5

Milan were unable to repeat the goalscoring feats of the opening day win over Udinese at the weekend when they were held to a 1-1 draw away at Atalanta. The result was probably deserved as the two sides balanced each other throughout.

There will be little concern for Stefano Pioli, as a point away to a European regular should be considered a good result. He may want his attacking players to be a little more precise though – as there were chances to win the game.

Pioli is still resisting the opportunity to use Giroud in the absence of Ibrahimović though – and should be pleased with the way that Rafael Leão has laughed off criticism of his performances in the first two weeks of the season.

Bologna were able to pick up their first point of the season against Hellas Verona on Sunday, although VAR took away the three points that the Rossoblu thought they had won after Orsolini was pulled back for an offside before he finished off a fine move.

Orsolini was a danger throughout the game and will be sorely missed by Siniša Mihajlović after he picked up a straight red card for a dangerous high-foot challenge towards the end of the game. Main man Marko Arnautović will now have an even more important role at the San Siro.

It has been a relatively tough start to the season for Bologna. But there will have been a hope that they would pick up more than one point from their first three fixtures. That doesn’t seem too likely at the current time though.

Milan team news

Pioli looks set to keep faith with Ante Rebić up front but may well hand new signing Charles De Ketelaere his first start after impressing off the bench in the opening two games. Brahim Diaz will be the player to give way to the Belgian wonderkid.

Bologna team news

Mihajlović will be forced to switch around his attacking unit after Orsilini’s red card against Hellas Verona at the weekend. He has a number of options to partner with Arnautović up front, but Nicola Sansone may get the nod ahead of Musa Barrow or Antonio Raimondo.
