Milan have been offered Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita, but the Rossoneri are reportedly unsure about the deal following Divock Origi’s free transfer last summer.

Keita is already available as a free agent as his contract at Anfield expires at the end of the season. Il Corriere dello Sport confirms the 28-year-old has been offered to the Rossoneri in a possible free transfer, but the Serie A giants are unsure about completing the deal.

The Rome-based paper claims the Rossoneri have put talks on hold, ‘especially considering that the latest transfer from Liverpool, Origi, has been struggling this season.’

Origi signed a €4m-a-year contract until 2026 with the Serie A giants last summer, moving to the Stadio Meazza on a free transfer. However, he has only scored two goals in 30 appearances across all competitions, failing to justify his hefty salary.

Keita joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig in a €60m deal in 2018 and has gone on to score 11 goals in 129 competitive matches with the Reds. He’s been struggling with playing time this season, only making 13 appearances across all competitions.
