Milan have already started targeting Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana ahead of the summer, having given up on Schalke talent Assan Ouedraogo.
The Rossoneri are ready to welcome Paulo Fonseca following the official departure of Stefano Pioli, whose five-year spell came to an end following the team’s last game of the season against Salernitana.
Milan will start fully planning for the summer transfer window with Fonseca from next week, wanting to pick up four or five new players, but one in particular has already proved convincing for director Geoffrey Moncada.
Milan look to Fofana
Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how Moncada believes Monaco’s Fofana would be a perfect option to bolster the Milan squad, appreciating the midfielder’s physicality and skills in transition.
The Monegasque outfit are willing to let him leave this summer but want at least €25m. He has also attracted attention from Juventus over the last few months.
In the meantime, Milan have given up on Ouedraogo, despite their appreciation of the Schalke talent, due to poor relations with his entourage.
