According to various sources, Milan are attempting a last-minute swoop to steal away defender Evan N’Dicka from under Roma’s noses.

The centre-back is a free agent after his current contract with Eintracht Frankfurt ran down.

It had seemed over the last few days as if Roma had won the race to snap up his signature, especially after his agents posted a photograph of themselves on Instagram meeting with Jose Mourinho at the Trigoria training ground.

However, Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com both claim that Milan are determined not to miss out again, having already been close to N’Dicka in the January transfer window.

They are trying to snatch the Ivory Coast international away from Roma, aided by their participation in the Champions League, whereas Roma have only qualified for the Europa League.

Born in Paris and a product of the Auxerre academy, he is a centre-back who can also play at left-back when needed and will turn 24 in August.
