Milan transfers: three options at right-wing and two possible departures

Noa Lang, Nicolò Zaniolo and Marco Asensio are among Milan’s options at right-wing, while Junior Messias or Alexis Saelemaekers could follow Samu Castillejo out of the club.

The Rossoneri are looking to bolster Stefano Pioli’s options in attack and want to add more quality on the right, where Messias and Saelemaekers shared the starting spot in 2021-22.

Lang is believed to be their primary target. The 22-year-old is open to joining the Rossoneri who could sign the versatile winger for circa €20m. However, Il Corriere dello Sport reports that Real Madrid’s Asensio is also an option for the Serie A champions, adding that Paolo Maldini has recently called Carlo Ancelotti to sound out the Spaniard’s availability.

Nicolò Zaniolo has also been linked with a move to San Siro, but Roma want at least €40-50m to sell the Italy international.

Milan ahead of Arsenal and Man Utd in race for Asensio as Maldini calls Ancelotti

Calciomercato.com reports that Milan will listen to offers for Saelemaekers, but the future of Messias is also up in the air. The Brazilian joined Milan on loan with a €5.5m option to buy from Crotone last summer and the Rossoneri are trying to lower the Rossoblu’s economic demands. Newly-promoted Monza are among the clubs interested in Messias. Their coach Giovanni Stroppa already coached the Brazilian at Crotone two years ago.

One of them is expected to leave and the same is true of Castillejo. The 27-year-old only played five games in 2021-22 and the Rossoneri are determined to sell him during the summer.
