According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Emerson Royal is open to leaving Tottenham to join Milan, while Corriere dello Sport claims Aston Villa won’t consider loan offers for Matty Cash.

Serie A giants Milan are looking for defensive reinforcements and both Cash and Emerson Royal have emerged as potential transfer targets for the Rossoneri.

The latest report from La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Royal is open to joining Milan from Tottenham, given that he’s no longer a regular starter in North London.

Furthermore, one of his idols, Cafu, played at San Siro for the Rossoneri, so the 25-year-old would be glad to follow in the Brazilian legend’s footsteps.

Gazzetta claims there is still no agreement between Milan and Tottenham, although the Spurs’ asking price has been lowered to €20m, so negotiations between the two clubs are ongoing.

Wednesday’s printed edition of Il Corriere dello Sport on page 26 confirms Milan’s interest in Aston Villa defender Cash who is seen as an alternative to Royal.

Contrary to the Spurs defender, Cash has been playing regularly under Unai Emery, so Aston Villa won’t sell the 26-year-old for less than €30m and won’t consider loan offers for the Poland international.
