Barcelona have yet to announce the signing of Milan midfielder Franck Kessié because of financial issues.
The Ivorian midfielder reached an agreement with the Catalans a few months ago and is ready to begin a new chapter of his career at the Nou Camp.
He had rejected several contract extension offers from the Rossoneri before signing a four-year deal with the La Liga giants.
However, according to Sport.es, the Catalans can’t announce his signing and the same goes for Andreas Christensen, who is also set to move to Catalunya on a free transfer from Chelsea.
If La Liga started today, Barcelona could not include their new signings in the team. On paper, the deals are not supposed to collapse, but the same financial limitations caused Lionel Messi’s exit last summer after the Argentinean had agreed to sign a contract extension with the Blaugrana.
Barcelona must now free up wages and raise their incomes to have more resources and register both players in the team.

❌ Tal es la situación de bloqueo económico en el FC Barcelona que si hoy empezara la Liga, no podría inscribir a ninguno

So it sounds like they shouldn’t be allowed to buy players?
@Gino I suspect had it been anyone else, probably other than Real, that would be the case by now.
It’s amazing that they can still sign players with such financial mess.
And how does UEFA react? Were they sleeping?
presidente turn to bloody civilian, I come in peace, barcelona who hate back except samuel Eto
Barcelona må følge Fair Play-reglene, som mange andre klubber. Unntak fra disse reglene har blitt gitt av UEFA til PSG, som kan betale enhver lønn til spillere og kjøpe til enhver pris. Sjeikene har kontroll.
If does collapse Milan will not miss him. Every dog has its day and if they can get a younger, more dynamic midfielder all the better.
What were you thinking frank kessie??
Delusional fellow
Why would u want to leave this young group
Mr president , I don’t get it
