The next six months will be crucial for the future of Brahim Diaz at Milan, while the Rossoneri could part ways with Yacine Adli and Tiemoue Bakayoko in January reports in Italy claim.
Milan are making their assessments with the January transfer window just around the corner, but are also considering their options for the summer.
Brahim, who has become a regular starter under Stefano Pioli, is on loan at San Siro until the end of the season, and the Rossoneri can make his move permanent from Real Madrid for €22m. However, the Merengues have an option to re-sign the Spaniard for €26m and according to Tuttosport, they may recall the ex-Man City starlet at the end of the season.
Given that the contract of Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos and Mariano Diaz expire this coming June, Brahim could be an affordable option to add depth to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad next season, although his performances in the second part of the campaign will be crucial for his future in any of the two clubs, reports the Turin-based paper.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport highlights Milan’s options short-term with the Rossoneri who could loan Adli for six months, but only if the French starlet requests it. He’s been struggling with playing time this term and was cut from Milan’s Champions League squad, so the ex-Bordeaux man could be looking for more playing time elsewhere in January.
Likewise, Bakayoko, who has never been involved this term, is not on the club’s plans and Milan hope to end his loan spell from Chelsea in January, saving circa €2.5m from his salary. The French midfielder was close to Olympiakos in the summer, but Milan and Chelsea didn’t reach an agreement to terminate the midfielder’s contract.
