Milan are in talks with Manchester United and Tottenham for Eric Bailly and Japhet Tanganga with both players who may be allowed to leave on loan under certain conditions.

The Rossoneri must sign a replacement for the injured Simon Kjaer, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Fikayo Tomori is also expected to remain out of action for at least one month following keyhole surgery on his left knee.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Bailly is Milan’s ‘Plan A.’

Manchester United may allow the 27-year-old to move to San Siro on loan until the end of the season.

Bailly has only played seven games with the Red Devils this term and is currently on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The Rossoneri are also in talks with Tottenham Hotspur for Tanganga. Spurs value him at €25m, but, according to Calciomercato.com, Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici will likely give the green light to loan him out until the end of the season provided Milan include an obligation to buy in the deal.

The 22-year-old has played 18 games across all competitions this season but will fall in Conte’s pecking order after the return of Cristian Romero and Eric Dier.

  1. One is always injured, the other is average.

Tanganga is no Tomori, and it’s kind of unfitting for an Italian giant like Milan to have two English center-backs, even though I love Tomori.
