Milan ‘tracking Taarabt for a long time’

Adriano Galliani said Milan had been “tracking Adel Taarabt for a long time” after he arrived from QPR.

The 24-year-old flew in this morning and completed his medical, telling Milan Channel he was “honoured to be able to play at the best club in the world.”

He interrupted his loan spell at Fulham six months early to go to San Siro and the Rossoneri reportedly have an option to make the move permanent at the end of the season for €7m.

Taarabt will have dinner with CEO Galliani at the Giannino restaurant tonight, the same process every new Milan signing goes through. However, it's reported he will actually sign the contract at the restaurant, as the club lawyer and his agent are also present.

“I have been tracking Taarabt for a long time, ever since he was playing in the English second division.

“He is a player of great talent and is able to take men on, just the kind of player that I like. Naturally, he is very happy and am seeing him tonight. We are satisfied.”
