Milan snapped up Tonali on a paid loan with an option to buy last summer, after the 20-year-old had attracted interest from the giants in Serie A through his performances with the Rondinelle.

The Diavolo paid €10m for the loan deal and will exercise the option to buy the midfielder for a reported €15m plus a further €10m in bonuses.

Tonali has played 22 League games this season and has appeared 11 times in the Europa League, including the preliminary stages.

The Italy U21 international has not scored since moving to Milanello but has reportedly done enough to secure a permanent move to the Rossoneri.
