According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sergiño Dest will return to Barcelona at the end of the season while Milan are preparing to sell at least three players, including Ante Rebic, Fode Ballo-Toure and Yacine Adli.

The pink paper reports that the Rossoneri need to cut their wage bill to have more financial resources in the summer transfer window. The Rossoneri expect to save €15m just from the salaries of players leaving at the end of the season.

First and foremost, USMNT international Dest will return to Barcelona as Milan are unwilling to make his move permanent for €20m. The 22-year-old has only started two games this season. Aster Vranckx is also struggling with playing time and his permanent €12m transfer from Wolfsburg ‘is not a priority’ for the Serie A giants, the report claims.

Milan hope to boost their transfer budget by selling a few players as well. Ante Rebic has not lived up to expectations this season with just three goals in 20 appearances.

Ballo-Tourè is also expected to leave having only played 327 minutes across seven games this season while Adli could either go on loan or on a permanent transfer having only featured for 114 minutes this term.

The future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also highly uncertain as the Swede, 41, hasn’t yet played this season after recovering from a knee injury. His contract expires at the end of the season and the same is true of Ciprian Tatarusanu and Antonio Mirante’s who will leave the club, making room for Marco Sportiello from Atalanta.
