Milan will use the January transfer window to reduce the size of their squad – particularly in defence.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, Diavolo boss Pippo Inzaghi has told club officials that they are free to find new homes for Michelangelo Albertazzi and Cristian Zaccardo.
Albertazzi, 23, is a product of the Milan youth system who returned to base in the summer after two years with Hellas Verona.
The 32-year-old Zaccardo, meanwhile, remained at Milanello after he rejected a transfer deadline day return to former club Parma.
