Milan captain Alessio Romagnoli could be sacrificed to satisfy FFP if the club doesn’t qualify for next season’s Champions League, it’s reported.

According to Tuttosport, the 24-year-old is currently deemed unsellable, but if the Rossoneri don’t finish in the top four they could be forced to cash in on him.

The Milanese club would want something in the region of €70m-€80m for the Italy international, who they bought from Roma for €25m in 2015.

With the likes of Suso, Hakan Calhanoglu and Franck Kessie’s value depreciating this season, it would be Romagnoli that could be sacrificed instead to balance the books for Financial Fair Play.

Meanwhile, the outright purchase of Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko for €35m would also be at risk if the club fails to finish in the top four.

Diego Laxalt and Samu Castillejo are on the way out, while Mattia Caldara and Lucas Biglia could be in the balance, claims Tuttosport.
