Milan are prepared to pay the €28m asking price for Fikayo Tomori, after realising Chelsea will not give them a discount.

The defender arrived on loan in January and immediately pushed his way into the starting XI, sending Alessio Romagnoli to the bench.

He became a key figure in the side that secured second place in Serie A and Champions League qualification.

While the Rossoneri tried for months to negotiate a discount on the agreed €28m option to buy, those attempts have been unsuccessful.

According to the latest reports from multiple Italian sources, Milan have decided to pay the full sum and should complete the deal next week.
