Milan are reportedly close to a €20m deal for Roma and Italy midfielder Andrea Bertolacci.

He had been in a co-ownership deal with Genoa, which was resolved in Roma’s favour this week for €8.5m.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the 24-year-old is set to move on again towards San Siro.

It’s claimed that Milan are on the verge of completing the deal for €20m, though Sport Italia say it is €15m plus bonuses.

He will also receive a salary of €2m plus performance-related bonuses, although La Gazzetta dello Sport put the wages at €1.5m.

"I'd be happy to have Bertolacci, as he's a player worthy of Milan," Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic told Sky Sport Italia.

"If it becomes official in a few days, then I can comment, but he is not our player now."

Bertolacci is considered to be one of the brightest young midfielders in Italian football.

This term he scored six goals and provided eight assists in 34 Serie A games for Genoa.
