Milan would be ready to listen to offers of over €20 million for forward Ante Rebic, according to reports in Italy.

The Croatia international impressed first on loan and then on his initial permanent campaign with the Rossoneri.

However, he struggled to make an serious impact during their title-winning season in 2021-22.

And, with the likely arrival of Divock Origi on a free transfer, Il Corriere dello Sport claim Milan would be willing to listen to offers for Rebic.

The report suggests the Rossoneri are not actively looking to offload the striker but would be willing to enter into discussions should they receive a bid above €20m.

Rebic joined on loan from Eintracht Frankfurt in the 2019 before making the move permanent the following campaign.

In his first two seasons he scored a total of 23 goals including a crucial strike in the 3-0 win over Juve which helped them return to Champions League.

But, despite being part of a title-winning side, injuries hampered his progress in this past season as he scored just three times across all competitions.

  1. Great player when fit but the issue is he just hasn’t had a proper injury free season! He always seems to be returning from some sort of injury and would need to work his way back to form and just as he would, he would miss games again! This became less punishing for Milan in the second half of this season because of leao’s progress!

  2. He could be an answer to the RW problem if we went all in and played him, Leao and a CF together. If this was any other league this is probably how we’d be set up if everyone’s fit.

  3. I think it’s a mistake. Barely any player on the pitch brings the same dedication and energy as Rebic when he’s subbed on.
I would definitely keep him as a backup to leao or anyone who’s our main RW. Whatever Ante brings in the final 10 minutes, or even 20, it seems to always bring the opponent under pressure.

  4. “title-winning season in 2020-21”

??? Does anyone edit thse articles? It’s 2022, for heaven’s sake!

  5. He’s a game changer off the bench with his unpredictability. Last season was a very unfortunate season for him.

  6. Seems reasonable since Origi can play LW. Hopefully this means progress can be made on Scamacca, as referenced on FI yesterday.

  7. Absolutely not. A great player, we should keep him and use him as the starting striker, instead of bringing Origi.

  8. if the transfer of rebic will follow in the same way as the castillejo “transfer”, then all milan fans should be prepared for a very, very long wait ……. and at the end, he will still be there ……
