Milan are looking to increase Rafael Leao’s release clause to €250 million to ward off interest from Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
The Portugal winger enjoyed a sensational season with Milan as helped the Rossoneri win the Scudetto and was named Serie A MVP.
His form has attracted interest from the likes of Real Madrid, who were recently turned down by No. 1 target Kylian Mbappe and so are in the market for a new forward.
And AS report Milan fear the €150m release clause currently in Leao’s contract may not be enough to stave off interest from Madrid and so are looking to increase it to up to €250m in talks over a new deal.
Leao joined from Lille in the summer of 2019 but enjoyed a stellar rise in this previous campaign.
He scored 14 goals in all competitions this season, with 11 of those giving the Rossoneri the lead in a match.
