Milan are looking for an attacking midfielder to replace Hakan Calhanoglu this summer and Juventus midfielder Aaron Ramsey is being mentioned as a possible alternative.

The Wales international has struggled to convince at Juventus and was given a new role in Massimiliano Allegri’s first friendly against Monza, when he played as a deep-lying midfielder.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Milan are interested in signing the former Arsenal man to replace Turkey international Calhanoglu, who moved on a free transfer to local rivals Inter when his contract expired.

Juventus are looking to get rid of some heavy salaries, especially if they want to bring Miralem Pjanic back to Turin from Barcelona.

The Welshman is on the sidelines of the Juventus project and a loan deal could be an option, with Milan ready to pounce, according to the newspaper.

The 30-year-old arrived on a free transfer in July 2019 and his deal with the Bianconeri expires in June 2023.

Ramsey has played 65 competitive games since joining the Old Lady, but his two years in Turin have been plagued by a series of setbacks, as he has missed 18 games through injuries.
