Milan transfer target Charles De Ketelaere has been left on the bench by Club Brugge for their Super Cup clash with KAA Gent.

De Ketelaere has been strongly linked with a move to Milan, though the Rossoneri face competition from Premier League side Leeds, who are reportedly prepared to make a significantly higher offer.

And as his current side, Brugge, kick their season off with the annual curtain-raiser against cup-winner Gent on Saturday at 5 p.m. BST, De Ketelaere starts the match on the bench.

The 21-year-old made 49 appearances in all competitions last season as Brugge won third-consecutive Belgian National title.

De Ketelaere joined Brugge at the age of seven and made his professional debut in a cup match in 2018

In the 2018-19 campaign, he made 13 appearances league appearances but has been a regular over the past two campaigns playing 38 and 39 times respectively.

He has scored 26 goals in his 120 appearances for the club. De Ketelaere has eight senior Belgium caps.
