Milan have agreed to sell Ricardo Rodriguez to PSV Eindhoven, so are targeting Nacional Montevideo defender Matias Vina.

According to multiple sources this evening, the deal is done for Swiss international Rodriguez to join PSV Eindhoven on loan with obligation to buy for a total €6m.

They require a replacement at left-back, but first choice Antonee Robinson of Wigan Athletic is considered too expensive.

Sky Sport Italia claim the Rossoneri are instead turning to 22-year-old Uruguay international Viña.

He had already been linked with Atletico Madrid and the proposal is €6.5-7m plus 20 per cent of any future transfer fee.

The asking price is closer to €10-12m for 80 per cent of the player’s contract.

There are other alternatives too, with very little time to find someone, as the Italian transfer window shuts on Friday at 19.00 GMT.
