Everton attacking midfielder James Rodriguez has been linked with a move to Milan in recent weeks and the Colombian admitted his future is uncertain. ‘I don’t know where I will play’.
The Toffees signed the 30-year-old from Real Madrid last summer and he signed a deal until June 2022 with an option to extend for a further year.
But the Colombia international, who has previous stints with FC Porto, Monaco and Bayern Munich, revealed he might not stay at Goodison Park.
Milan are interested in the playmaker and he dropped a hint on Twitch, saying he doesn’t know what the future holds.
“People often ask me where I will play,” Rodriguez said on Twitch, according to SportItalia. “I don’t know, and it’s the truth.
“For now, it’s a very complicated question. We will see what happens.”
James was asked is he will stay at Everton, but quashed rumours of a possible return to reunite with Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.
“I don’t want to say yes or no, because I don’t know,” he continued. “I train well and hard. I don’t know where I will play.
“In football, as in life, we know nothing. I don’t think I will return to Madrid with Ancelotti. It’s a closed chapter and it will never happen again.”
