Milan target Memphis Depay is ‘more likely to look elsewhere’ if Lyon aren’t admitted to Europe, confessed club President Jean-Michel Aulas.
The Rossoneri are showing interest in the 26-year-old, having already approached him last year.
His contract only runs to June 2021 and the Dutchman is currently recovering from a torn anterior cruciate ligament.
“Memphis told me that he will be ready to discuss the situation when he gets back,” Aulas told Le Progres.

“His agents said that he is more likely to look elsewhere if we are not participating in Europe next season.”
The problem in this case is that Milan aren’t currently in the European spots either, so they could face strong competition from elsewhere.
Before his knee injury, Depay had scored 14 goals in 18 competitive games this season.
