Milan were held 2-2 by Salernitana, so it’s the first time in almost seven years that the Serie A leaders have failed to beat the team at rock bottom.
The thriller at the Stadio Arechi in fact had Salernitana leading 2-1 until the Ante Rebic equaliser.

The last time this top to bottom showdown didn’t end in an expected victory for the giants was in May 2016, when Hellas Verona beat Juventus 2-1.
That was followed by nine consecutive victories for the team that started the matchday at the top of the table, until now.
1 – #SalernitanaMilan is the first #SerieA match since Verona-Juventus 2-1, back in May 2016, where the bottom side have avoided the defeat against the league leaders starting the match day – the top-ranked team had won nine games in a row. Surprise.
