Bordeaux have reportedly decided not to let defender Jean Onana leave for Milan on loan, putting the Rossoneri in a tough spot.

The Milanese club are working hard to try and add a new defender to Stefano Pioli’s squad before the end of the transfer window next week, and things are starting to look tense as deadline day approaches. Milan have their eye on a few targets and now may have to look for alternatives after this latest blow.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luca Bianchin, Bordeaux aren’t willing to send Onana to Milan on a loan deal, forcing the Rossoneri to either sign him in a definitive transfer or look elsewhere.

Milan now need to decide how to proceed; currently, the idea of signing Raphael Onyedika seems off the table, but they’re still in the running for Aster Vranckx.

Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara will have to work fast to resolve their transfer market issues as time is starting to run out.
