After failing to agree a deal for Nicolo Zaniolo, Milan have decided to move forward for Chilean talent Dario Osorio, reports detail.

The Rossoneri have had a difficult season following their Scudetto success last campaign, culminating in their 5-2 home loss to Sassuolo on Sunday.

Fans had hoped to see some January reinforcements arrive to help Stefano Pioli’s side try to close the gap to league leaders Napoli but with only hours remaining in the window, just one player has arrived, goalkeeper Devis Vásquez.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Milan have decided to launch a serious move for Universidad de Chile talent Osorio, who has also attracted the attention of a number of English clubs including Aston Villa.

A 19-year-old winger, Osorio has scored seven goals in 27 league games this season, showing his potential in a number of roles across the front line.

The Chilean teenager, who doesn’t hold an EU passport, had ruled out a departure in recent weeks, but Milan’s offer could change his mind.

The Rossoneri have reportedly submitted an offer worth around €5m, a sign of their belief in the 19-year-old.

  1. At this stage, we would be OK taking Suso back 😂 Really anything is an improvement on Alexis. What is intriguing about this kid is that is equally comfortable on both the left and right. But of course, it is the central midfield and defence that are the real problem areas.
