According to reports in Spain and Italy, Milan are in advanced negotiations with Valencia for Yunus Musah in a deal that could be worth €20m plus bonuses.

The interest goes back several days, but the talks have now entered a new stage of discussions, with the determination to get it done quickly for the midfielder.

Valencia had requested €30m, while Sky Sport Italia transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano suggests a proposal worth €20m had been put forward.

MilanNews.it are confident a deal can eventually be done for €25m including bonuses and add-ons.

Musah is a valuable addition because he is a United States international who also has English citizenship, but above all has a Spanish passport thanks to his time at Valencia.

That means Milan can sign the 20-year-old without taking up a valuable non-EU player slot in the squad.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is arriving in Italy today to complete his transfer from Chelsea and, after Brexit, English players are no longer protected under the rules covering freedom of movement and work in the EU.
