The Japan international has been linked with a number of clubs including Valencia and West Ham, as well as publically criticising the Rossoneri for ‘always having the same problems.’

Corriere della Sera has reported today that the attacking midfielder spoke to vice-President Adriano Galliani in the last few days to demand a sale.

The newspaper believes there are a number of Premier League sides trailing the number 10 but that the San Siro giants have blocked a winter move.

However, it appears very likely that he will depart in the summer as Honda’s contract is set to expire in 2017 and Milan would prefer to receive a transfer fee than see him leave for free.

The 29-year-old’s frustration stems from the fact that he has struggled for playing time under Coach Sinisa MIhajlovic, who has handed him only three Serie A starts all season and he is yet to complete 90 minutes.
