Milan star Rafael Leao appears to share Jules Koundé’s opinion that ‘there are too many games’ which raise the amount of ‘serious’ injuries for footballers.

Leao is currently out of action due to a muscle injury, so he will miss Saturday’s Serie A clash between Milan and Fiorentina and next week’s key Champions League fixture against Borussia Dortmund.

The Portuguese forward reacted on X, formerly Twitter, to a post from Fabrizio Romano reporting Koundé’s latest quotes about physical problems for footballers.

Koundé had complained about the amount of games played every year, saying that the high intensity of matches contributes to raising the number of injuries for football players.

Leao appeared to share the idea of the Barcelona defender, given that he quoted the social media post adding three exclamation marks.

The latest reports in Italy suggest Leao will return to action on December 9 for a Serie A game against Atalanta at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo.

  1. FIFA & UEFA only concern about how to make more money every year. They don’t give any s**t about the players. UEFA was against Super League because they were afraid of losing money, simple as that.
