La Gazzetta dello Sport reports Rafael Leao will remain out of action for at least 20 days, so he’s unlikely to be available for a key Champions League fixture against Borussia Dortmund after the break.

The Portuguese star was subbed off in a 2-2 draw against Lecce on Saturday and exams have highlighted a first-degree lesion on his right femoral bicep.

According to Monday’s printed edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (page 16), this means Leao will remain out of action for at least 20 days, which could be even more if Milan‘s doctors are cautious and don’t push him back onto the pitch.

Therefore, it is practically impossible to see Leao in Milan’s next home game against Fiorentina on November 25 and it is highly unlikely that the 24-year-old will be available for a home Champions League game against Borussia Dortmund three days later.

Leao has scored four goals in 16 appearances across all competitions this season, delivering four assists as well.
