After a year of ups and downs, Milan will be looking to return to form and remember that they are one of the top fighters in Serie A in 2024.

The Rossoneri were a little all over the place last year, barely scraping a fourth-place finish in the league but reaching the Champions League semi-finals in the 2022-23 campaign. This term, things have been more difficult for Stefano Pioli and his players.

Milan have now crashed out of the Champions League and sit a painful nine points behind rivals Inter in the league table, giving them a mountain to climb in the second half of this season. Pressure has continued to mount on Pioli, with many now doubting his capabilities and future in the dugout.

Heading into 2024, the Rossoneri need to truly find their footing in Serie A to try and close the gap in the title race and build up a little distance from the teams below fighting tooth and nail for a Champions League spot.

In Europe, Pioli’s Milan have all the cards necessary to put on a good run in the Europa League and should be one of the favourites for the title. Whilst it isn’t as glamorous as Europe’s premier club competition, it would be another reminder of the expectation in the Lombardy capital.
