Sky Sport Italia and Tuttosport report that Milan will meet Adrien Rabiot’s agent and mother, Veronique, to discuss a potential free transfer, which can even be completed after the deadline day.

Milan are determined to sign Rabiot if Ismael Bennacer joins Atletico Madrid today.

Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Manu Koné was among the Rossoneri’s targets, but he’s on his way to Rome to undergo medical tests with the Giallorossi.

Milan and Rabiot had already been in talks this summer but failed to reach an agreement. The French midfielder is available as a free agent after the end of his contract with Juventus on June 30.

This also means that negotiations between Milan and the player can continue after the deadline day and that the player can join the Serie A giants or any other club from August 31.

The summer transfer window in Serie A shuts at 11 pm UK time on August 30.
