Milan set to beat out Juventus and Roma for youth talent Stalmach

Reports from Poland suggest that Milan are on the verge of beating Juventus and Roma in the race for talented midfielder Dariusz Stalmach.

The 16-year-old Polish midfielder broke into the Górnik Zabrze first team last season, doing well across his 17 Ekstraklasa appearances. The right-footed teenager is a quick and intelligent midfielder, known for his bravery and solid work rate. Stalmach is comfortable in a box-to-box role and his physicality helps him avoid being bullied too much in the midfield.

Polish sources via TMW detail how Roma are only a step away from reaching an agreement with Górnik Zabrze for Stalmach, keen to add the talented midfielder to their youth system. Juventus and Roma both had their eyes on the 16-year-old, but the Rossoneri have seemingly done enough to beat their competition.

Stalmach is quietly one of the most exciting teenage midfielders in Europe and would seem to be a strong fit for Stefano Pioli’s system, although it’ll likely take a couple of years before he’s given a chance with the first team.
