Milan have requested information about Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga as they look to strengthen their defence.

The Rossoneri are looking for a replacement for the injured Simon Kjaer, who is out for the rest of the season following a cruciate ligament rupture earlier this season, and they have been following a number of possible targets in recent weeks.

As reported by Tuttosport, Milan have made an inquiry about Tanganga, but Tottenham’s €25m price tag may force the Rossoneri to look elsewhere. The Lillywhites do not seem keen for a loan deal, making him a fairly inaccessible target for the Milanese club.

The Premier League side are interested in midfielder Franck Kessie and so a possible deal for Tanganga could come up in those talks.

The 22-year-old English defender, who is contracted to Tottenham until 2025, has made 15 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 1050 minutes. He has struggled to impose himself in Antonio Conte’s system in North London.
