Joan Gonzalez has been quietly impressing at Lecce this season and Milan have joined the list of clubs keen on snapping up the former Barcelona talent.

The Puglian outfit signed the 20-year-old Spaniard on a free transfer in August 2021, adding him to their Primavera squad. After a single season in the youth setup, Gonzalez was promoted to the first team last summer and he hasn’t disappointed, contributing to three goals in 16 Serie A appearances.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan are fans of Gonzalez and have been intensely following him in recent months, keeping a close eye on his development at Lecce. The defending champions returned to the top of Italian football by trusting in youth talent and the Spaniard could be a good fit for Stefano Pioli’s squad.

The Rossoneri are facing tough competition, however, as clubs around Europe like Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham and Everton have all noticed Gonzalez as well, regularly sending scouts to the Stadio Via del Mare.
