Milan are continuing to focus on young talents and have reportedly identified Arsenal owned midfielder Charlie Patino as an exciting prospect.

The Rossoneri have found success developing younger players in recent years, with many like Sandro Tonali and Rafael Leao playing a key role in their Scudetto success in the 2021-22 season.

The arrival of Gerry Cardinale and departure of Paolo Maldini haven’t changed the club’s strategy and Milan are now looking around for the next prospects to add to Stefano Pioli’s squad.

As reported by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, Milan have set their sights on Patino, who is currently on loan at Swansea, where he’s directly contributed to five goals across 11 Championship games.

The 20-year-old Englishman won’t come cheap, however, commanding a fee of at least €25m. A move could be made should the Rossoneri fail to agree a new deal with Rade Krunic.

Milan have also identified Schalke’s Assan Ouédraogo as an exciting option. The 17-year-old has a €20m release clause, a price the Rossoneri aren’t willing to pay.

  1. He’s nowhere near as good as Samuele Ricci who would be about the same price.
Oh, but I forgot Ricci is Italian so Milan wouldn’t sign him anyway.
