According to reports in Italy, Milan will evaluate the position of coach Paulo Fonseca after the big matches against Liverpool and Inter.

The Rossoneri have had a disastrous start to their campaign, managing only two points from three games.

They scraped 2-2 draws with comebacks against Torino and Lazio, along with a defeat away to newly-promoted Parma.

There have already been calls for the club to sack Fonseca, who was brought in after a lengthy casting process with several different coaches interviewed to replace Stefano Pioli.

Milan give Fonseca more time

Sky Sport Italia and Calciomercato.com maintain Milan directors have decided that he is not at risk, but that could change pending the big fixtures later this month.

They will be on September 17 in the Champions League against Liverpool at San Siro, then a few days later the Serie A showdown with city rivals Inter in the Derby della Madonnina.

It means that Fonseca could risk the sack just six weeks into the new season.
