Full-back Luca Antonelli reveals that winning the Scudetto with his new club Milan would be ‘the dream of a lifetime’.

The Rossoneri youth product was involved in an extensive transfer saga with Pablo Armero, but in the end he came from Genoa on an individual deal rather than an exchange.

Alongside introductions for Mattia Destro, Suso and Gabriel Paletta, the defender discussed the significance of winning a Scudetto with Milan.

“It would be the dream of a lifetime,” Antonelli admitted, as related by MilanNews.it.

“I hope I can be the other Antonelli who wins the second star [after his father Roberto Antonelli, champion in 1979].

“My father and my family are happy because I am back home. I couldn't have asked for more than this.

“Milanello is the most beautiful sports centre in the world. I had the privilege a few years ago to play with [current Coach Pippo] Inzaghi and give him an assist.

“He's an expert Coach and we'll give 100 per cent for him.

“I wanted to thank my Coach [Genoa's Gian Piero Gasperini] as well as my former teammates, who helped me develop as a footballer and as a man.

“I didn't have a chance to bid my farewells to the Genoa supporters, so I'll take the opportunity to do that now.”
