Milan chief scout Geoffrey Moncada has reportedly been in contact with flying Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy as the Rossoneri draw up their plans for the January transfer window.

According to updates in Saturday’s Il Corriere dello Sport, reported via TMW, Guirassy is right at the top of Milan’s attacking wishlist for January.

The Guinean international has been on prolific form in front of goal in the 2023-24 season, notching up 16 Bundesliga strikes from just 11 outings, a tally bettered only by England captain Harry Kane for heavyweights Bayern Munich.

There is no need for Milan to negotiate with Stuttgart, as Guirassy has a release clause in his contract, which will be valid in January for a reported fee of €17.5m.

Milan will, however, need to convince Guirassy himself to leave Stuttgart, as it has been suggested that he is keen to stay on in Germany until the end of the current season.

In order to convince him that Milan is his best destination, Moncada has recently been over to Germany to meet with Guirassy after a recent Bundesliga match according to Saturday’s update. The Milan representative will continue contacts in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, other clubs across Europe are also interested in the soon-to-be available striker, particularly Manchester United according to reports from the UK.
