Divock Origi is not Milan‘s only target in attack as the Rossoneri will meet Sassuolo directors after the international break to discuss Gianluca Scamacca.

The Italy striker is one of Serie A’s most prolific strikers with 12 goals in 27 appearances this term and Inter have also been linked with securing his services in the summer.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri will meet Sassuolo after the international break to discuss the 23-year-old and know the Neroverdi’s asking price for their star striker. Scamacca has reportedly agreed to sign a contract extension at the Mapei Stadium until 2026, but his exit in the summer remains on the card.

The same is true of Davide Frattesi, who officially signed a new deal with the Neroverdi yesterday. The Italian midfielder is Inter’s main midfield target for 2022-23.

Sassuolo director Giovanni Carnavali suggested in February that €65m may not be enough to sign both Scamacca and Frattesi in the summer and Milan want to know how much Scamacca would cost them.

Scamacca warns Inter about possible future transfer

“Rumours about interest from great clubs are flattering, they are motivating me, but I don’t follow the transfer market much and some situations take a while to become concrete,” Scamacca told Il Corriere dello Sport on Thursday.

“I’ve been abroad once and I’d have no problem making that choice again.”

The Rossoneri are also in talks with Liverpool striker Divock Origi who is available to sign a pre-contract agreement ahead of a free move over the summer. According to the report, the striker’s economic demands are high and the Rossoneri are considering all their options.

Milan still have a chance to sign both Scamacca and Origi as the Belgium international can also play as an attacking winger. The Serie A giants’ plans also depend on the future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and whether or not he’ll extend his expiring contract at San Siro.
