Milan are expected to rotate the squad against Venezia tomorrow, bringing in Alessandro Florenzi, Pierre Kalulu, Ismael Bennacer and Matteo Gabbia.

It kicks off at San Siro on Wednesday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

The Rossoneri are still unbeaten in Serie A this season, losing their 100 per cent record with a 1-1 draw away to Juventus.

Their injury crisis continues to intensify, with Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic still out of action, joined by Davide Calabria, Rade Krunic, Simon Kjaer and Junior Messias.

According to the latest reports, Fikayo Tomori will be rested tomorrow, so Matteo Gabbia steps in at centre-back with Alessio Romagnoli.

Kalulu becomes the right-back, having impressed against Juventus off the bench, with Florenzi in a more advanced role rather than Alexis Saelemaekers.

There is also the option of using Rafael Leao as a centre-forward and resting Ante Rebic, but that seems unlikely.

Franck Kessie can have the night off after looking very sluggish in Turin, as Bennacer takes over.

Milan (probable): Maignan; Kalulu, Gabbia, Romagnoli, Theo Hernandez; Tonali, Bennacer; Florenzi, Brahim Diaz, Leao; Rebic

  1. I would have gone with the best lineup, then if we can get a 2 goal cushion we can slow the game down massively and bring on early subs, but as long as they bring home the points, it’s all good. I think Tonali needs a rest as well.

  2. How is it that in the days of the mega-squads and endless rotations, teams are suffering more injuries not less? Injuries could determine this title so Milan need to get on top of theirs.
