Milan have announced that all away tickets sold for the upcoming match against Fiorentina have been cancelled and will be re-sold.

Controversy erupted earlier today after reports suggested that only 200-300 Viola fans would be present at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza for Sunday’s match against the Rossoneri. The reason for this was because the Milanese club opened up the sale of away tickets to all fans, allowing their supporters to purchase all the tickets.

As detailed by Milan’s statement, the GOS (Gruppo operativo sicurezza) have decided to cancel all tickets sold for the Terzo Anello Verde away stand as a result of the controversy. The Rossoneri claimed that all rules were followed regarding the sale of those tickets but they’ve agreed to cancel and refund the tickets sold.

Fiorentina ‘angry’ at Milan over tickets chaos

Away tickets will now be made available exclusively to Fiorentina fans, giving them a chase to support their team at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday.

  1. Well done to the club for fixing their mistake. Curva Sud deserve a mention too for their strong stance.

  2. @Az, here I am, they claim all the rules were followed, so not admitting that they made a mistake. Therefore deliberately trying to fill the stadium with Milan supporters to try and gain an advantage over Fiorentina. Could you imagine if the game went ahead without the change and support’s started fighting and someone was killed? How many heads would have rolled?!!!

  3. @Homer. Sad that nobody has spoken of the fact that “away sections” are needed to begin with. In what other sport would fans have to fear death by opposing fans when going to a game???

  4. @Homer i suggest you leave the Milanistas alone. They cant concentrate on real life, they are dreaming about Scudetto LOL they really think they will win it LOL

  5. @Forza Moggi
Nothing wrong with dreaming. Better than your mob. Enjoy trying qualifying for CL with Allegri and a stale old side. 😉

  6. Forza Moggi you’ve won your last Scudetto in a looooong time. Your future is Allegri rolling out trusted old players in wheelchairs whilst they beg him to let them retire. Enjoy barely being the fourth best team in Italy.
