Italian giants Milan are reportedly ready to offer Giampaolo Pazzini a new contract at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Pazzini arrived at San Siro in the summer from city rivals Inter in a deal which saw Antonio Cassano move in the other direction.

Although the 28-year-old has had his problems this season, as well as seeing the club net Mario Balotelli in January, he’s ready to be rewarded for his efforts.

Pazzini’s present deal expires in 2015, but the Rossoneri are ready to offer him a 12-month extension to those terms.

There should be no change to his €2.7m a season salary.

Pazzini, formerly of Atalanta, Fiorentina and Sampdoria, has scored 12 goals in 21 League games for the Diavolo this term.

He netted twice in the 3-0 win over Lazio on Saturday night after Balotelli was ruled out of the tie with injury.
