Milan released an official statement following clashes between ultras last night: ‘We condemn every form of violence: football for us is passion, not hate.’
A French supporter was rushed to hospital in critical condition on Monday night following an attack from Milan ultras on PSG fans in the Navigli neighbourhood.
A PSG ultras and two Italian policemen were also wounded following clashes which unfolded after midnight.
Milan have now reacted with an official statement published in English, Italian and French on X, formerly Twitter.
“AC Milan condemns every form of violence: football for us is passion, not hate. Sport is supposed to unite, not divide,” said the Rossoneri.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the 34-year-old PSG fan who was rushed to the hospital in critical condition is not in life-threatening danger and will undergo surgery in the coming hours.
