Milan are reported to have rejected Santos’ first bid for Brazilian striker Robinho, believed to be holding out for an amount to then spend elsewhere.
The Rossoneri were confirmed by Robinho’s former club Santos as in negotiations to transfer the No 7 this January, with the club’s President Luis Alvaro Ribeiro saying that an offer had already been made.

Whilst some sections of the Italian media report this as being accepted by Milan, the Gazzetta dello Sport are running the line that the San Siro outfit have rejected it as being too low.
Specifically, it is believed that in trying to catch Robinho for a third stint with them, Santos have offered between €5m and €6m.
However, the Rossoneri, whose President Silvio Berlusconi is reportedly keen to keep hold of Robinho if possible, are pushing for a €10m fee, in order to then fund a move for PSV Eindhoven’s defensive midfielder Kevin Strootman.
Strootman is seen as the Serie A side’s first choice replacement for Nigel de Jong, who is confirmed as facing at least six months out of action after surgery on his Achilles tendon injury.
