As Milan prepare to face Real Madrid on December 30, new reports Carlo Ancelotti is pushing Sami Khedira towards San Siro.
The Rossoneri have set up a prestigious friendly match against Champions League holders Real Madrid in Dubai on December 30.
This test had already been rumoured in recent weeks, as the two clubs share both kit sponsor and main advertising sponsor (Adidas and Fly Emirates).
Milan are due in Dubai for a winter training retreat from December 27-31.
Meanwhile, Coach Ancelotti has again commented on the fate of Khedira, who is widely expected to leave Madrid in January.
“There are clues that he could go, but I think he wants to stay here,” Ancelotti told Primer Toque.
Khedira has been heavily linked with Arsenal, but there have been consistent reports that the club and Coach would prefer to push him towards Milan.
In order to make that loan deal go through, the midfielder would need to take a substantial pay cut.
Meanwhile, Ancelotti also insisted there was less pressure from the club hierarchy in Madrid than at Milan.
“There are some Presidents who are fans and grew up with certain club colours. Silvio Berlusconi is one of them.
“He’d call me all the time to ask why this player was picked ahead of another one. Florentino Perez does not do that.”
