According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Milan are ready to activate a clause to extend Christian Pulisic’s contract until June 2028.

The USMNT capitan has taken Serie A by storm with ten goals in 29 league games in 2023-24.

Pulisic joined Milan in a €20m deal from Chelsea last summer and Monday’s printed edition of Il Corriere dello Sport on page 17 called the American star the Rossoneri’s ‘best summer signing.’

Overall, Pulisic has 13 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances across all competitions this season.

The 25-year-old’s contract expires in June 2027 but the Rossoneri have an option to extend it until 2028. According to the Italian newspaper, the Diavoli are already convinced to activate it, extending the winger’s stay at the club for one more season.

Corriere dello Sport claims that Pulisic loves life in Italy and feels fully involved in the project. The ex-Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea man is also learning Italian.

Pulisic has covered many different positions at Milan this season: right winger, left winger and even attacking midfielder, like against Lecce on Saturday.

Stefano Pioli praised the American star after Milan’s latest win on Saturday, their fifth in a row in Serie A.

“I’ve had many video calls to explain the playing style and I rarely get the wrong sensation from the players. I knew Pulisic’s quality, but when we talked on a video call, I sensed something very positive. He was very eager, curious, interested in everything I had to say,” said the Rossoneri boss.

“He doesn’t talk very much, but it’s the attitude that shines through from a person. His attitude is fantastic, he is an exemplary professional and hard worker who will help the team to get stronger.”
